BSI Travel Scholar

BSI is offering six travel scholarships for young surgeons from low and middle income countries (http://data.worldbank.org/income-level/low-and-middle-income).  

 

The applicant must be aged 40 years and below on 26 August 2024.  The candidate must submit an abstract either as an oral or poster presentation at the International Surgical Week ISW 2024.  Successful candidates are required to present an interesting case of their choosing on 29.08.2024 in the "Stump the Experts" session. Successful candidates are also encouraged to submit a full paper on their abstract to World Journal of Surgery.  Members of BSI will be given priority, although membership is not a requirement it is encouraged. The successful candidate will be given USD 1'000.00, and free entry to one of the preconference workshops on 24 & 25 August 2024, as well as the BSI dinner on 27 August 2024.  The registration fee is not included in the award.
